Many fans have been scouring the Internet for the latest scoop on season eight of Showtime's Dexter to no avail.

However, currently in the midst of shooting episode two of the upcoming installment, a few photos from set have been posted.

One image, which was sent out by series standout Jennifer Carpenter (Debra), features actors Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Desmond Harrington, (Quinn) and executive producer Sara Colleton doing their best to appear as though they're gangsters.

Another image, shown below, features first looks at Nick Gomez and Patrick Flannery. Gomez is previously known for his role as Tomas on AMC's The Walking Dead, and will star in the cable network show as a killer named Javier. Since Gomez is only expected to be on the series for a couple of episodes, one can only assume that he will be Dexter's next target.

Flanery will be donning the part of an ex-cop-turned private investigator but it's still not certain as to what his role will be.

While Hall is everyone's favorite vigilante serial killer, he's taken on a new challenge as he makes his directorial debut in episode two, which is titled Every Silver Lining. Carpenter confirmed via Twitter that her co-star was in the director's chair and also commended his work ethic in the process.

"If u thought he was a good actor just wait for 802 Michael C. Hall, director! & I quote 'Don't f**k up your line.' Wish he's started yrs ago," she posted.

Dexter season eight is set to premiere on Sunday, June 30. The promo trailer can be viewed below.
