'Love And Hip Hop New York' Season 6: Mendeecees Harris Breaks Silence On Snitch Rumors Amid Jail Time [VIDEO]
Lots of speculation has been going around about VH1 Love & Hip Hop New York star Mendeecees Harris and his plea deal that sentenced him to jail for eight years, and now he is speaking out rumors that he snitched on his friends in order to spend less time in jail.
He first started by shutting down rumors about why he refused to go trial.
“Who in their right mind would go against the feds?” he asked Taxstone during the Tax Season podcast.
As for rumors he told on his friends Juelz Santana and Vado, he made it clear that was pretty much impossible.
“I didn’t know them when they were in the streets. He [Vado] was never selling no drugs. [The fact that] people believe everything they read is sad.”
He went on to debunk rumors that he was a “snitch” to get less time in jail after it was reported he could get up to 20 years.
“The plea deal had always been ten years. The judge said, ‘I’ll give you eight years. Ten was never on the table.’”
Harris was sentenced to 97 months after pleading guilty to his connection to a drug ring that transported heroin and cocaine between New York City and the Rochester area.
He revealed his troubled past and said, “I’ve been shot twice and stabbed thirteen times and people don’t know I really been out there.”
But his future isn’t completely gone. He still plans to start a music career and could put out music after his release. Hear the full interview below.
