Fans continue to eagerly wait it out for next week's return of the CBS hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother. While the show's loyalists must patiently hold their cravings off until next week, more details have come out surrounding the romance between Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin (Cobie Smulders) have now surfaced.

According to Spoiler TV, the 22nd episode of the season will be titled Romeward Bound, which more than certainly gives the suggestion that fans' favorite couple could already be in the midst of planning a potential honeymoon to the romantic city of Rome in Italy.

Carter reports that the back end of season eight will hone in on the wedding of the two lovebirds, as the series' bosses Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have reportedly given confirmation that Barney and Robin will tie the knot by the end of the season eight.

The 21st episode is said to revolve around Barney's bachelor party, which could also open up the strong possibility that Romeward Bound could revolve around a bachelorette party for Robin.

The TV website goes on to support the reported claims of Bays and Thomas that the final two episodes of the season will more than likely be based around the wedding between the couple.

How I Met Your Mother is set to air its next episode, which is titled The Time Travelers, on Monday, March 18 at 8 p.m. EST.

According to the CBS network, the final episode will not be showing until the spring on Monday, May 13. However, there has still been no official word on if it will be a 30-minute or one-hour episode. The trailer for the next episode can be viewed below.
