The Freeform series pressed the accelerator on the Magnus Bane (Harry Shum, Jr.)/Alec Lightwood (Matthew Daddario) storyline, and as far as fans are concerned, the Mortal Instruments adaptation couldn't have made a better decision.
Alec, on the other hand, may be looking to tap the breaks. The High Warlock of Brooklyn wants to meet up for drinks, and he doesn't want to wait. Back at the Institute, Alec doesn't think right now will work for him. Check out the "Moo Shu to Go" sneak peek here.

With the premier "Malec" episode on the horizon, we know the boys will get together sooner rather than later. In anticipation of episode 11, Shum and Daddario teased the popular 'ship at the 2016 Television Critics Association winter press tour.
"There won't be any disappointment," Daddario said of season 1 relationships as a whole.
Shum, meanwhile, promised "Malec will become almost a character itself."
Tonight on Shadwhunters, Clary (Katherine McNamara) and Jace (Dominic Sherwood) will butt heads over the best way to track Valentine. When Jace and Izzy (Emeraude Toubia) take a meeting with the Seelies, Clary will be left behind with Alec. Needless to say, the elder Lightwood is not at all pleased (see video below).
