Conroy had supporting roles in the first four seasons of American Horror Story, with varying degrees of screentime. The character actress shape-shifted into vastly different roles depending on the season.

In American Horror Story: Murder House, Conroy played Moira O'Hara, an aging housekeeper who is only visible to women and those who can look deeper than their own desire. Conroy's complex portrayal earned her an Emmy nomination - though she wound up losing to co-star Jessica Lange.

Then in Asylum, Conroy played Shachath, a.k.a. the Angel of Death, only appearing to welcome people into the death. While she only appeared sporadically, her appearance, with big black wings, made her memorable.

For Coven Conroy played perhaps her most beloved character: the eccentric witch Myrtle Snow. This was the actress' most substantial role yet and earned her another Emmy nomination. This time, she wound up losing to another co-star, Kathy Bates.

She returned for a somewhat minor role in Freak Show, playing Gloria Mott, the wealthy mother of the monstrous Dandy Mott (Finn Wittrock).

Conroy did not appear at any point in Hotel. The actress is now appearing in the Hulu comedy series Casual, where she is a main cast member. It remains to be seen if the demands of this series will conflict with her potentially returning for season 6 of American Horror Story.

But regardless, do you think Conroy should have a role in season 6? Vote in our poll here:
