'General Hospital' Spoilers: Jake's Condition Becomes More Critical [VIDEO]
He was doing well after surgery and was on the way to healing after he was hit by a car for the second time in his young life, but things could take an unexpected turn for Jake (James Nigborn) on General Hospital.

His troubles concerning the fact that his parents were no longer together inadvertently led to the accident, which occurred after he thought he had killed Sam (Kelly Monaco) and fled the house so he wouldn't have to face punishment. Since then though he and Sam have both been on the mend from their respective incidents--but his situation may be getting worse, requiring him to deal with a kind of care he can't actually get at GH.
"Jake is going to need special, individual care," Monica (Leslie Charleson) tells Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Jason (Billy Miller) in a preview clip for the Tuesday, Feb. 16 episode.

The special care could lead to his needing to be transferred to a different hospital, and he may wind up being sent to Shriner's, where Nikolas' (Tyler Christopher) son Spencer (Nicholas Bechtel) recovered following his getting caught in a fire the year before.
However, with Shriner's not being located in Port Charles, it could mean Elizabeth and Jason will both need to leave the city for the time being, and that could upset the process that has led to Jason and Sam continuing to grow closer again--and it could give Sam her own setback when it comes to her hopes for the future.
"I can't wait to see what happens next," Sam says to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in the clip.
General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
