'Agents Of SHIELD' Season 3: First Look At Slingshot! Elena Rodriguez's Debut Episode Confirmed
For the first time in its 27 seasons, the Fox comedy will go live this May, according to showrunner Al Jean. How exactly is the lauded series planning on pulling this off, you ask? Well, by placing the family's doughnut-loving patriarch in the spotlight.
For three-minutes during both the East and West coast airings, the Springfield resident will tackle fan queries and the issues of the day. Viewers can submit their questions via the #HomerLive hashtag from May 1 to May 4, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Supernatural' Season 11: Oh My Chuck! Rob Benedict To Return, Find Out When
The live segment will take place during the final minutes of the episode. The Simpsons informed THR that the series will use motion capture technology and voice actor Dan Castellaneta to quickly render the broadcast in an animated medium.
Are you excited to see the program tackle the complicated endeavor? It will certainly make for a memorable episode. Hopefully May 15 will prove to be a big news day - we wouldn't want Homer to be at a loss for topical material.
The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
