Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are plagued by mystery, and soon their fans will be too. X-Files will close out its six-episode 10th season by propping the door open for a future return.

Does that mean Mulder and Scully will continue digging into the X-Files? There is no official word regarding another run of episodes (or even movie), but Carter is certainly open to the idea.
"It's been talked about. Certainly it's been suggested. It's been mentioned in casual conversation. But I think everyone's taking a wait and see approach and I'm taking it as well," Carter told TV Guide ahead of the January premiere. "I've told you now a number of times, there's lots more X-Files, endless X-Files, to tell. If I'm given the opportunity, time and money and place to do it, of course I'd be interested."
If Duchovny and Anderson aren't game for another round of filming, perhaps Agent Miller (Robbie Amell) and Agent Einstein (Lauren Ambrose) will step into the spotlight...
