Her first plot wound up blowing up in her face, but Ava (Tamara Braun) still isn't done with trying to mess up Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla's (Mary Beth Evans) happy life together on Days of Our Lives.

After using Joey (James Lastovic) to get them back together, tricking them into thinking she was dying, telling Steve they had a son together back in the day and convincing him to help her find him, kidnapping Kayla, and tricking Steve into sleeping with her in order to get Kayla back, everything became pointless when she and Steve were told their son was dead.

However, Ava has not given up her plot to destroy their happily ever after, and she will now head back to Salem with a new plan in mind.

Since going back home, Steve has been struggling with the fact that he did sleep with Ava and keeping it from Kayla, as well as the fact that Joey wound up catching him in a compromising position with her. Joey promised his father he wouldn't say anything, but the guilt has been eating at Steve anyway that he is lying to the woman he loves about exactly what actions he took to free her.

However, Ava could take care of Kayla learning the truth for him--potentially wreaking havoc unlike any Steve and Kayla had experienced before.
