Former CBS anchor Rob Morrison is attempting to clear his name in a tell-all book, after resigning for domestic abuse charges.

Rob was arrested in February for abusing his wife, CBS Market Watch reporter Ashley Morrison, in their Connecticut home. At the time, the couple issued a statement saying that the incident had been "greatly exaggerated," although police said Rob indicated he would "kill" his wife if he was released from jail.

"I can't go home tonight man, I'm f------ killing her!" Rob told the cops ,according to a police report.

Rob posted $100,000 bail and is still under a court order to stay out of the house and remain at least 100 yards away from his wife.

Ashley has remained in the couple's million-dollar Connecticut home and returned to her job at the network. Since she records her news segments on a different floor in the building, she has not been seen in newsroom where her husband worked.

The Daily Mail reported that Rob is preparing for a comeback in a tell-all biography that could possibly be turned into a TV series. The former presenter at WCBS will write an autobiography which tells the story of his TV career and why his marriage turned sour.

In his first court appearance on Feb. 20, he denied choking his wife.

"I did not choke my wife. I have never laid my hands on my wife," Rob told a judge in February. "I was just as surprised by that particular charge as probably was everyone else whose heard about this story."

Several allegations have since emerged detailing the couple's difficult past including infidelities and previous incidents of domestic violence.

Police said they had been called at least eight times to break up verbal altercation disputes between the couple, beginning in 2003. Rob will return to court on March 26.

Rob believes he can set the record straight in his book, according to The New York Daily News. The former anchor said he would like to stay married to his wife but faces up to five years in prison if he is found guilty.

"Don't always assume it's the woman that calls the cops," Rob said.
