The mask is off! The Flash's Zoom is none other than Jay Garrick/Hunter Zolomon.

The Flash' Season 2: How Will Barry Get Back To Earth-2? EP Teases Return & Killer Frost's Fate

The Jay (Teddy Sears) the STAR Labs team has come to know and love (more on that terrible decision later) is ostensibly dead, but luckily for Sears, Earth-2's demonic speedster happens to share a face with the Crimson Comet. While we're left to wonder exactly how the pair has managed to pull off their con - weren't they both on Earth-2 before the breaches opened? - executive producer Andrew Kreisberg dished on exactly how Jay managed to worm his way into Barry's (Grant Gustin) life.

After all, shouldn't Team Flash have been on guard against epic betrayals after season 1?

'The Flash' 'Supergirl' Crossover: Set PHOTO Reveals Silver Banshee! Barry To Face Off With New Villain?

"For Barry and the others, as much as they were stung by Wells/Thawne's betrayal, he had been their mentor and friend and they all felt that vacuum when he was gone," Kreisberg explained, according to Variety. "Jay had been watching them and knew that so he was able to masterfully step into the role each of them needed. He became a friend and mentor to Barry. A love interest to the heartbroken Caitlin. He skillfully played them all."

Ouch. That's cold - Killer Frost level cold. This show is giving us some serious trust issues.
