'Agents Of SHIELD' Season 3: 'Out-Of-This-World' Flash-Forward Promises Serious Trouble, Our Top 3 Theories
It's flash-forward time for Agents of SHIELD.
'Agent Carter' Season 2 Finale: Is [SPOILER] Really Dead? EP Weighs In On Devastating Conclusion
The ABC series already has viewers hook, but just in case you were thinking about wandering off midway through the spring run, SHIELD will open the midseason premiere with a flash forward that's sure to keep you tuning in straight trough the season 3 finale.
"Tuesday's midseason premiere opens with an out-of-this-world flash-forward that à la Arrow's grave mystery, for example, will leave you wondering what the frak happened to who and why," TV Line teased on Tuesday.
Considering SHIELD's penchant for cleverly crafted twists, were not even sure where - or with whom - to begin speculating about this teaser. There are a few plotlines, however, that are primed for some "holy sh-t" reveals:
1) There is apparently a mole inside SHIELD, a problem that will rear its ugly head in episode 12. And here we thought The Flash was giving us trust issues.
2) Bobbi and Hunter are primed to join Burn Notice's Michael Westen out in the cold. The pair's love/hate relationship is set to move to Marvel's Most Wanted, but only after someone fabricates allegations that will leave them friendless and on the run.
3) Ward is Hive. Lord only knows what crazy and exciting twists the Maveth Inhuman has planned.
Do you think the flash-forward is related to any of the above? Give us your theories in the comments below!
Agents of SHIELD will return to ABC on March 8 at 9 p.m. ET with "Bouncing Back" (see preview below).
