History Channel's newly popular miniseries The Bible is set to come out with its third episode of the 5-part series on Sunday, which is expected to give the show a large ratings bump due to the introduction of Jesus.

While episode 2 didn't rake in nearly as many viewers as the first installment at 14 million, it still pulled in an impressive 10.8 million.

Jesus will be played by actor Diogo Morgado, and will remain on the show for its final three episodes, which will end off on Easter, March 31.

At the end of the second episode, which is titled Homeland/The Kingdom, the audience will witness David and Bathsheba along with their young son Solomon, who will be the future king of Israel.

This Sunday's episode will feature stories of both survival and hope. Viewers will see the stories of Zedekiah, Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel and the Jews coming back to Jerusalem, which was occupied by the Roman Empire at the time.

The birth of Jesus, John Baptist and Peter will come out in the program.

The Bible miniseries was made possible by Roma Downey of Touched By An Angel and her husband/producer Mark Burnett. Its third episode is set to air on the History Channel at 8 p.m. EDT on the History Channel.
