'Blindspot' Spoilers: Three New Titles Decoded, EP Reveals New Twist On Easter Egg Puzzles

Much to the surprise and delight of fans, Fox announced a season 2 premiere date on Friday. Filming and casting announcements only just started to leak out earlier this month, but the sci-fi thriller will follow its freshman year schedule and rejoin the line up on May 25.

Season 2 will pickup in the wake of the First Generation's takeover as the current resident's rebel against the youngster's tyrannical rule. The powers that be will pull Dr. Theo Yedlin from stasis as the season begins, and the new lead will find himself smack dab in the middle of another rebellion. The current establishment will be led by returning Wayward Pines vet Jason Higgins (Tom Stevens), who will be backed by Kerry (Kacey Rohl) while characters like Xander (Josh Helman) work to "undermine Wayward Pines from within."
