Why Is Julianne Hough Not Returning To 'Dancing With the Stars'?
Slater was not among yesterday's announced pros dancing in season 22 of Dancing With the Stars. She posted a photo on Instagram following yesterday's big announcement, explaining that she is sitting out of the upcoming season:
The 27-year-old has had a presence in the past five seasons of DWTS. In her first season, she danced with comedian Bill Engvall and came in fourth place. In season 18, she danced with actor Billy Dee Williams, who was injured and had to exit the series early. Then, in season 19, she danced with former NASCAR driver Michael Waltrip, coming in seventh place.

For season 20 she danced with LMFAO singer Redfoo, but they were the first couple eliminated. Then in season 21, she danced with Vine star Hayes Grier, placing eighth.
Other noteworthy pros who danced last season that won't be back for season 22 include Derek Hough, Allison Holker, Anna Trebunskaya and Louis van Amstel.
As for the judges, Julianne Hough has exited the series after three seasons and Len Goodman is slated to return. This brings back the original lineup of Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
