The Flash's Barry Allen is getting desperate, and desperate men do stupid things.

Grant Gustin's character needs to increase his mph if he wants to take down Zoom, and juicing with Velocity 9 isn't an option. Instead, Central City's hero will turn to the one man whose need for speed was nearly on par with Earth-2's demonic speedster—Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh).

That's right, Barry is ready to head back in time once more. After the events of "Fast Enough," you'd think he'd be wary of long-term time jumps.

"Desperate to find a way to increase his speed, Barry decides to travel back in time and masquerade as his earlier self in order to get his arch-nemesis, Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne, to teach him how to run faster," The CW teased. "However, things don't go as planned and Barry is stunned to face familiar foe Hartley Rathaway (guest star Andy Mientus), as well as old friend Eddie Thawne (guest star Rick Cosnett)."

With Pied Piper and the detective back on the scene, viewers can expect equal parts hilarity and heartbreak.

Poor Barry. He's doomed to have his emotions pummeled from ever which way no matter where he goes.
