'The Affair' Season 3 News: Showrunner Is 'Already' Working On Future Episodes, 'Can't Believe' It [PHOTO, VIDEO]
It looks like all is going smoothly in the progress with the third season of the The Affair.
On Tuesday, series showrunner Sarah Treem, took to Twitter to show a photo of room notes with the episode title and third season written across. Treem mentioned that she "can't believe" she's already working on future episodes so odds are likely it's all going well.
As for what's about to go down in the new season, Maura Tierney who plays Helen, previously told Variety that it won't be the same as it was before.
"It's very, very different from this year and I think it would be great TV," the actress said. "I think it will be really fun."
Tierney then dished on her role and how Helen has been dealing with a lot. This includes excessive drinking, a cheating husband and the whole incident with who killed Scotty. But, perhaps, things might change and maybe all this chaos will turn Helen into a stronger person.
"I think of her as a woman struggling to handle a very difficult situation," Tierney said. "I think she doesn't know how to gracefully handle all of this bad stuff. I don't think she's consciously trying to be graceful, but I want her to achieve that because I think that shows a lot of integrity if you can handle tough times with a certain amount of equanimity. So I see her as someone trying to get there."
The Affair Season 3 is expected to premiere sometime this fall.
