The National Invitation Bracket 2013 schedule was unveiled Sunday and games are set to begin Tuesday, March 19 and Wednesday, March 20 for the opening round of the tournament.

Virginia will play its opening round game at home on Tuesday with tip-off scheduled for 9 p.m. EST. The game will be shown on ESPN U and live streaming will be available online via WatchESPN, the ESPN broadband sports network. According to sports analysts, the Cavaliers are projected to win the in-state battle by over 2 1/2 points.

Unfortunately for Kentucky who won the 2012 NCAA Men's Championship, they will not have home court advantage because Louisville will be using it in the NCAA Tournament this week. Kentucky played in the last two Final Fours under fourth-year coach John Calipari. The Wildcats become the 20th defending national champion to be knocked out of the NCAA tournament and first since North Carolina back in 2010.

Calipari and his team are forced to travel to the lower-seeded school Robert Morris for round 1. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST on Tuesday night with ESPN showing it on TV and WatchESPN showing via online.

For Alabama, their opening round opponent will be Northeastern at 9 p.m. EST on Tuesday. The game will be shown on ESPN2 and WatchESPN.

"We felt like we needed to play our way in and we weren't fortunate enough to do that. We're thankful to have a chance to participate in the postseason," Alabama coach Anthony Grant said.

Southern Miss lost in double overtime to Memphis in the Conference title game with an NCAA bid on the line. The team will play their first round game on Wednesday, March 20 at 9:15 p.m. EST. They will play against Charleston Southern, with the game shown live streaming via ESPN3.

"There's still opportunity for us, and I believe we'll bounce back," Southern Miss coach Donnie Tyndall said.

There will be nine games shown on Tuesday for the National Invitation Tournament, and seven more from the opening round shown on Wednesday evening.
