'Shadowhunters' TV Show: Season 2 On The Way! Watch The Cast's Big Announcement [VIDEO]
Have a case of the Mondays, Shadowhunters fans? Cheer up—Clary and Co. are coming back for season 2!
The cast of the Freeform series hopped on Facebook Monday morning to make the announcement you've all been waiting for. The Mortal Instruments adaptation is quickly closing in on the end of its freshman run, but fans no longer have to worry about whether or not their favorite scenes will ever make it to screen.
"We are all here as a team to announce that we are picked up for season 2 of Shadowhunters!" Katherine McNamara (Clary) excitedly told fans in a Facebook Q&A. "Thank you so much for watching, thank you for all the love. We love you guys and we can't wait to continue this with you."

McNamara was joined online by Emeraude Toubia (Isabelle), Harry Shum, Jr. (Magnus Bane), Isaiah Mustafa (Luke), and the series' executive producers. Dominic Sherwood (Jace), Alberto Rosende (Simon), and Matthew Daddario (Alec) couldn't be there in person, but the stars popped up on their costars' phones to celebrate the occasion.
Next time on Shadowhunters, Clary will tumble head first into an alternate dimension with "This World Inverted."
"Clary and Jace get a tip from Meliorn that they can find Valentine by locating a portal in another dimension, but only Clary can venture into this new world. What Clary finds in this alternative universe is that life there is as if the threat of demons no longer existed and Shadowhunters were no longer needed," Freeform teased. "While she realizes that this dimension is THE LIFE she always dreamed of, Clary must act fast or she will lose herself in the alternative world forever."
Shadowhunters airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Freeform.
