'Supernatural' Season 11: Jensen Ackles Teases Major Reveal, What Question Will Be Answered? [VIDEO]
Supernatural is ready to put to rest one of the series' oldest questions.
The CW series has been around for 11 years now, and over the course of it's run, Supernatural has left a few threads hanging. What ever happened to Jesse Turner, the child antichrist? Did Sam (Jared Padalecki) save Dean's (Jensen Ackles) necklace? Is Gabriel (Richard Speight, Jr.) dead or alive? Is Chuck (Rob Benedict) really God?
That last question has received a lot of play this seasons, and it's no surprise that attendees at Creation Entertainment's Las Vegas Salute to Supernatural automatically referenced Benedict's upcoming episode 20 return when Ackles teased a major season 11 reveal.
"I will say that coming up there is an answer to a question that's been asked for quite a long time," Ackles teased. "I'm not going to give it away! [You] probably already know."
Shouts of "Rob" and "God" quickly filled the air, but neither Ackles nor Padalecki were willing to confirm anything.
"No, not Rob," Ackles told the fans. "I will say that it is related to Rob, but it is a question that has been asked for a long time."
If Ackles is indeed referring to episode 20, it sounds like viewers will be in for a wild ride. Padalecki teased the ep at a previous con, calling the upcoming hour his favorite of all time. Yes, "The French Mistake" has been supplanted.
"There have been few times in my life as Sam Winchester that I've read the script and had tears well in my eyes and the sensation like when you get the shivers and your blood vessels dilate and you get goosebumps...Twenty is awesome," Padalecki said in February. "Twenty is awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome."
The arrival of the Darkness (Emily Swallow) has certainly primed the pump for God's long awaited reveal. Even if Chuck isn't the embodiment of the Almighty, he is certainly some sort of heavenly being. No one just poofs in and out of existence without some serious mojo. If God fails to show, at least we'll hopefully find out the truth behind the writer's bizarre disappearance.
