'Mob Wives' Cast 2016: Big Ang Taped Reunion Just Days Before She Died [VIDEO]
While the series finale of Mob Wives has aired on VH1, it has been reported that the show’s late star, Angela “Big Ang” Raiola taped the reunion just days before she lost her long fight with cancer.
“She was not doing well,” her co-star Brittany Fogarty revealed Monday. “She wanted to film. She wanted to finish what she had started. So she was there and she filmed the reunion for a brief amount of time.”
Faiola continued and told Radar Online that Radiola simply wanted to give her last wishes. She made it clear that she didn’t want to be a part of the drama or any fallouts between the co-stars that had been going on all season long.
Fogarty added that everyone is still healing from Raiola’s passing.
“It’s just a big loss for everybody, not just people on the show, but so many people loved Ang. She touched so many people’s lives and I think everybody is really feeling the loss of her.”
Still, Big Ang’s struggle with cancer was much of her story line on the final season. She experienced an up-and-down of emotions as doctors told her she no longer had cancer, only for it return at the stage four level in her lungs and brain.
Fogarty pointed out that it was very difficult for her and the other ladies to watch Raiola’s struggle on the show.
“I don’t like watching it really,” she confessed.
She went on to explain the special bond she and Raiola had together.
“Ang really welcomed me with open arms. I mean coming from this lifestyle, there is such a dark cloud over people who are associated with rats- and my father cooperated. There are women on the show who feel a certain way about that, and with Angela, she never looked at me that way.”
She added that Big Ang never pre-judged her because of her father’s decision to cooperate with authorities in an mobster environment.
“[She] was just very good to me from day one.”
Big Ang also didn’t let her health issues stop her from making an appearance at one of Fogarty’s events during Fashion Week in September.
“She didn’t just show up and show her face to support me, she was jumping up and down screaming and cheering me on int he front row. I started laughing and smiling at one point because it was just touching that she was showing so much support fo rme through everything she was going through.”
