'The Voice' Results Tonight 2016 VIDEO: Season 10 Battle Rounds Night 2, Who Was Eliminated? Watch Mary Sarah, Kata Hay, Tamar Davis
The Battle Rounds are in full swing on The Voice.
Coaches Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Pharrell Williams, and Blake Shelton built their teams up during the Blind Auditions, but now they must tear them down. Pitting members of the same team against each other, the season 10 Battle Rounds will effectively cut the field in half as the coaches are forced to make some hard decisions.
The round works as follows: two teammates faceoff over the same song. The winner advances while the loser hops the next flight home...unless another coach swoops in and claims them as part of their own team. Unfortunately, each coach only has two saves to use.
See how each team fared during Night 2:
Team Christina
Team Xtina kicked off the evening with a duel between Tamra Davis and Shalyah Fearing. Davis' rendition of Lady Marmalade won him Aguilera's favor, but Williams used his second save to keep Fearing in the game. Kata Hay later defeated Chelsea Gann to the tune of I'm the Only One, causing Gann to take her final bow.
Team Pharrell
Williams made room for Fearing by knocking Jessica Crosbie and Maya Smith off his roster. Even though Crosbie was traunced by Nick Hagelin and Smith fell to Hannah Huston they each found a home on other teams. Team Adam scooped the former up while the latter joined Team Christina.
Team Adam
The rock singer lucked out as he only had to ax one hopeful on Tuesday. When it came down to choosing between Nate Butler and Natalie Yacovazzi, Levine gave Butler's performance of Hollow a thumbs up. Goodbye, Yacovazzi
Team Blake
Shelton also had an easy night. The country star oversaw Mary Sarah and Justin Whinsnant's battle, and, unsurprisingly, Shelton selected Mary Sarah. Just as with her four-chair Blind Audition, the Texan rocked her rendition of Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man.
