'The Flash' Season 2: Is Cisco Ready To Suit Up As Vibe? Carlos Valdes Teases 'Deep Fear' [VIDEO]
The Flash's Carlos Valdes is ready for Vibe to suit up. Cisco, on the other hand, still has a few misgivings about his life as a meta.
Cisco's trip to Earth-2 put him face to face with his proverbial evil twin, and just when it looked like he was settling into his role as Vibe, the STAR Labs denizen was suddenly back to fearing his powers once more.
From believing he could merely vibe the present to learning he can see into the future, Cisco's understanding of his burgeoning powers has grown exponentially throughout season 2. As exciting as it was to see Reverb take the game to the next level, Ramon's trip through sepia-toned looking glass left him wondering what would happen if could bust out the same moves as his doppelgänger.
"Cisco has a deep fear of the power becoming Vibe could have, [and we'll be] covering that in upcoming episodes," Valdes said at Chicago's Heroes and Villains Fan Fest last weekend.
That's not to say Valdes isn't itching to take a fully amped up Vibe out in the field. When fans asked if we will get to see the hero suit up before the finale, Valdes said that he "hopes so."
Unfortunately for Cisco, his own meta issues may be the least of his problems. Rupture is coming to Central City.
For those familiar with the Hound of Mordeth, you know that the New 52 version is none other than Cisco's older brother Armando. As far as we know, Cisco only has one brother in the DC TV universe. Could E-1 Dante (Nicholas Gonzalez) really become the new baddie? Gonzalez was in Vancouver filming bystanders snapped photos of the scythe-bearing rouge (see here), which lends credence to the change. However, with Barry (Grant Gustin) planning on reopening the breaches, The Flash could be planning to introduce E-2 Dante. Either way, Cisco is going to face off with a very familiar face.
