The petition to bring back Finding Carter just hit a new high in a short amount of time.

As of last Monday, the petition hit more than 7,000 signatures and it took at least a week to gain 1,000. But as of Wednesday, there are now more than 8,000 signatures, meaning that more than 1,000 have been added in just two days.

This comes off as a pretty big surprise since the numbers have been a pretty slow process. But it seems like fans are harboring more time and effort to see if there's any chance the series could be brought back for new episodes.

In other good news, a tweet was recently posted where someone connected to TV streaming site Hulu delivered a message about the petition. It was noted that the series could potentially wind up on the site, but nothing is guaranteed.

"You guys did GREAT with that petition, amazing!" the message reads. "I'll pass your request, along with the link, to our content team here. While that's not a guarantee we'll be able to secure the streaming rights for the show, we're always looking to expand our library. We've also, in the past, picked up shows that were canceled and we then produced them in the house, like The Mindy Project. So it's not out of the question! Fingers crossed!"
