The 100's Octavia and Bellamy Blake are hurtling towards a brutal parting of the ways.

When The 100 debuted it's season 3 trailer ahead of the holidays, Twitter exploded with talk of the Blake's heart-wrenching showdown. Now that we're eight episodes in to the tumultuous run, viewers are beginning to wonder when exactly the Ark's only siblings will come to blows. The pair have grown apart during their time on the ground, and with Bellamy's (Bob Morley) recent behavior, we're surprised Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) hasn't broken his nose yet.

Honestly, we thought it would happen when Bell helped massacre 300 Grounders in the dead of night. It looked like a sure thing when the elder Blake helped Pike imprisoned - I'm sorry, interred - Arcadia's Grounder patients. While she may not agree with everything her brother is doing, Octavia isn't ready to write him off quite yet. The look of concern she showed when Bellamy was shocked in "????" said it all.

So, what will it take to push O over the edge? Check out our best theory (which also just so happens to be the worst case scenario):

If The 100 writers are really looking to get an emotional rise out of seemingly unbreakable character, killing Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) would be the way to go. Whittle has already announced his impending departure from the show, and as fans know all too well, no one exits the post-apocalyptic world without first meeting a bloody demise. If Bellamy were to have some role in offing the love of her life, we have no trouble imagining Octavia (and fans) wanting to bloody his face.

"Their relationship is going to be forever changed," Avgeropoulos told IGN.

Whatever Bellamy is about to do, however, he will 100 percent believe that he is doing it for the good of his people.

"Bellamy truly believes he's doing what he needs to do to protect his people. So any decisions he makes will be rooted in that belief," writer Shawna Benson assured fans. The question isn't whether he means well but if he's making the right decisions in how best to protect.

The 100 will return to The CW on March 31 with "Stealing Fire."
