Octomom Fraud Accusations Place Nadya Suleman In the Spotlight Once Again
A complaint was filed against Octomom Nadya Suleman last week stating she committed welfare fraud.
Someone made an allegation in the Los Angeles County Department of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation, or the WFP&I, claiming Octomom receives welfare, including food stamps, even though she made almost $200,000 in 2012, according to TMZ.
Under the law of California, a parent who has 14 children and makes $119,000 or less per year can collect welfare for themselves and 14 children.
The WFP&I has been interviewing witnesses, and If they find the allegation is true, Suleman he can be prosecuted. If convicted, she may face more than 3 years in prison, stated the report.
And how exactly does Octomom generate this much income?
Apparently by going to stripping gigs and doing porn work.
She has been looking for new ways to keep the money coming. Octomom stopped taking welfare money in the middle of 2012 when she entered the adult film business as a tripper, and went back on welfare in 2013.
At the time, the mom was apparently receiving a food stipend of $1,800 per month and 1,000 for emergency cash. She also received Medi-Cal benefits and mental health and dental payments.
This incident follows an accusation made in November of Octomom's drug usage. The Department of Child and Family services raided her house after this claim was made a former nanny.
