Is there a chance that the Finding Carter petition will reach its new goal?

As of Sunday, the petition has garnered more than 9,000 signatures overall. And just earlier this week, there were more than 8,000, so the petition has managed to gain about 1,000 signatures in a few short days.

Right now, the goal is to get to 10,000 signatures. And based on how the progress has been moving, perhaps, the accomplishment could likely happen.

But even if the petition does make its way to 10,000, that doesn't necessarily mean the series will be brought back for new episodes. While it's definitely helpful, nothing is guaranteed at this point.

There was some recent speculation that the show could end up on Hulu based on a message that was posted on Twitter. Apparently, the site noticed that the petition's been doing well, so if that continues to happen, then maybe there will be a glimmer of hope.

"You guys did GREAT with that petition, amazing!" the message reads. "I'll pass your request, along with the link, to our content team here. While that's not a guarantee we'll be able to secure the streaming rights for the show, we're always looking to expand our library. We've also, in the past, picked up shows that were canceled and we then produced them in the house, like The Mindy Project. So it's not out of the question! Fingers crossed!"
