They are both being held captive by the last person they ever expected would be responsible for such a thing, and now, John (Drake Hogestyn) and Paul (Christopher Sean) could be in more danger than ever before as they await potential rescue on Days of Our Lives.

They are being held by Yo Ling (Tobin Bell), John's father who assumed a hostile identity after going into combat and who orchestrated the entire plot where John was sent to Winterthorne as a boy and trained to be an assassin. He initially kidnapped John to get his blood to help him fight a disease which ails him, and later took Paul hostage too, with the intention of drugging and brainwashing his grandson so he too can be conditioned to become an assassin.

Now, as the situation facing Paul grows dimmer, because Yo Ling has successfully managed to inject drugs into his system, John is struggling as hard as he can to try and escape his own captivity to try and save his son before it's too late. But even he manages to escape, he could still not get to Paul in time—and the damage could already be too great to overcome.

Meanwhile, Marlena (Deirdre Hall), Rafe (Galen Gerig) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) are all preparing to find John and rescue him before he is killed, something they believe could happen if they don't get to him in time. They are currently unaware that Paul has also been captured and that they will need to try and get to him as well—but if they receive information before heading in to where they believe John is being held that alerts them to Paul's disappearance as well, it could motivate them even more to be successful in their recovery mission.

However, even if they too are successful at getting through and getting to the men, it could still be a dangerous situation for Paul—and there genuinely may be no hope when it comes to getting him freed from the torture that was inflicted on him.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
