They decided they would never let anyone know she was carrying Thomas' (Pierson Fode) baby, but now that her son Douglas has arrived, Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) is having a harder time with keeping the truth from him on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Caroline conceived her son with Thomas during their one-night affair when she and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) had briefly broken up, and when shortly after she and Ridge reconciled and married, she realized she was pregnant. However, after Ridge's admission about his vasectomy, she knew the baby couldn't be his, and the two worked together to make sure no one would know the truth. However, now that Douglas is here, it's becoming more difficult to keep the truth from everyone, especially as Thomas begins to bond with the child he believes to be his little brother.

Thomas will even pay Caroline a visit to see his brother once again, and will even ask her if he can bond further with the baby—something she won't be able to refuse without setting off alarm bells.

"Caroline, would you mind if I held him?" Thomas asks in a preview clip for the Tuesday, March 22 episode.

The moment he holds the newborn and bonds with him will be a powerful one, and one that causes Caroline to start having second thoughts and doubts about the huge lie she and Ridge have been telling. And after Ridge comes home and Thomas leaves, she will express her fears and concerns to her husband—who will reassure her that they're doing the right thing.

"This is what we set up," he says in the clip. "And this is how it's going to be."

However, their plans could all unravel more quickly than they realize because it's no secret that Rick (Jacob Young) is once again eyeing any way to possibly destroy his brother's life. And knowing that Ridge had a vasectomy thanks to Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) telling him, he may begin to dig more into his brother's life in a quest to find the truth.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
