'General Hospital' (GH) Spoilers: Nina Gets A Second Opinion About A Baby [VIDEO]
She has been desperate to get a baby ever since she began her stable relationship with Franco (Roger Howarth), and now, Nina (Michelle Stafford) will seek a second opinion about her ability to conceive on General Hospital.
Back when she was still with Silas, she had learned from Britt that she was unable to have a baby and had entered early menopause, and she was under the impression that she had miscarried the baby she had conceived with him while she was in her decades-long coma. Now that she is with Franco, though, she has been desperate to become a mom anyway, even with his objections to being a father mixed in. Her initial plans to adopt didn't seem like they were going to come to fruition either.
However, after Maxie (Kirsten Storms) encouraged her to get a second opinion since neither Britt nor Madeline (Donna Mills) were credible sources for Nina to go by, Nina decided it couldn't hurt her to try. Now, she will head to the hospital for her appointment, though she will run into her aunt, Leisl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) along the way—and could be encouraged not to go through with her desires.
"I have an appointment with Dr. Lee so I can get pregnant," Nina says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, March 22 episode.
However, Obrecht recently conducted an experiment with Franco to see how well he would perform as a father, allowing him to watch Leo while she helped Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) with a medical issue. And though initially holding Leo seemed to melt Franco's heart and give him pause on his previous feelings about the subject, he screwed up when he put Leo down in a laundry cart and walked away while on the phone—only to come back later and find him gone. He later learned another nurse had found Leo and brought him to the daycare center, but the incident seemed to further cement his feelings about being a father.
With that in mind, he may try to encourage Nina not to go through with her plans.
General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
