'Dancing With the Stars' Results Tonight 2016 VIDEO: Season 22 Week 2 Elimination, Who Was Voted Off?
Dancing with the Stars cha-cha-cha-ed its way to the first season 22 elimination on Monday night.
After a weeklong grace period, Dancing with the Stars' latest batch of rhythmless noobs was ready to shake up the dance floor. Unfortunately for reporter Geraldo Rivera, his poor Week 1 showing and 13-point 'Latin Night" salsa made him this season's inaugural reject.
With only two routines under their belts', the new couples are still getting their proverbial sea legs. There were no perfect 30s on Monday, but that doesn't mean the judges were completely disappointed.
UFC fighter Paige VanZant (with Mark Ballas) displayed her athleticism during a 24-point Danze Kuduro salsa proving that a healthy workout schedule is just as important as an innate ability to feel the beat. Boyz II Men singer Wanya Morris (with Lindsay Arnold) demonstrated the latter when he tied VanZant with his own salsa routine.
Meteorologist Ginger Zee (Valentine Chmerkoivskiy) shared a 21-point second place with Fuller House's Jodie Sweetin (with Keoikantse Motsepe), proving that the future is bright for those who dominated the competition in the first week.
Actress Marla Maples (with Tony Dovolani), model Nyle DiMarco (with Peta Murgatroyd), and the NFL's Von Miller (with Witney Carson) and Doug Flutie (with Karina Smirnoff) provide a tight 20 and 19-point grouping for the middle of the pack.
Unfortunately for Mischa Barton (with Artem Chigvintsev), her 16-point Week 1 performance led into a poor 15-point cha-cha-cha during Week 2. Barton's low score places her at the bottom of the pack now that Rivera is out of the running.
Will Ms. Barton manage to up her game before next week's "Most Memorable Year" episode? Find out when Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
