MSNBC Town Hall: How To Live Stream Donald Trump's Abortion Comments & More Tonight
If you're a political junkie obsessed with the 2016 presidential election, MSNBC is hosting four hours of interviews/town halls with four presidential candidates.
Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and John Kasich will all get primetime exposure tonight on MSNBC, with only Ted Cruz not partaking. Trump and Kasich are speaking at separate town halls, while Clinton and Sanders will be speaking in one-on-one interviews.
Chuck Todd hosted Kasich at a town hall in Queens, N.Y. earlier today, but it will air in its entirety starting at 7 p.m. ET on MSNBC. Then at 8 p.m. ET Chris Matthews' town hall event for Trump in Green Bay, Wis. will air.
There is particular interest in Trump after multiple headline-making quotes he's made over the past day. The biggest one is his comment today on abortion, which he made at the town hall, saying that if it were to become outlawed, the "answer is that there has to be some form of punishment, yeah."
He has since released a statement clarifying the comments, saying, "This issue is unclear and should be put back into the states for determination. Like Ronald Reagan, I am pro-life with exceptions which I have outlined numerous times."
Rachel Maddow will interview Clinton at 9 p.m. ET, followed by Sanders at 10 p.m. ET. Both candidates have their own issues to grapple with, with Clinton choosing not to accept Sanders' invitation for a debate in New York and Sanders' team making some arguably erroneous claims about not campaigning that much in the South. It remains to be seen if either will be brought up during tonight's interviews.
