'Pretty Little Liars' Season 4 Spoilers: Toby's Intentions For The Future Explored, VIDEO
With season three now at a close, fans of the ABC hit show Pretty Little Liars are surely eager to get their hands on any information pertaining to its upcoming fourth season.
Fortunately, such information has come out in regards to Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby's (Keegan Allen) dynamic. While Spencer indeed joined up with the "A-Team," the character reportedly still has the best of intentions moving forward for both his main squeeze and friends, according to Carter Matt.
However, while those details appear to be for the most part accurate, the situation may be more complex, according to a The Hollywood Reporter interview.
Allen elaborated to the entertainment site on his Toby character's development while also touching on his dark side in the process.
"You just don't know with the show where it's going to go and what's going to happen. Upon reading the first two scripts of season four, it's surprising. The season is going to be potent with new storylines and aggressively getting to the bottom of who is in charge and why this is happening to these girls and why they keep allowing this to happen."
The young actor also spoke about the concept of the A-Team going into the upcoming season as well as Toby's intentions with Spencer.
"[Whether Toby is not on the 'A' team] will be explored in season four. There are a whole bunch of reasons why that happened, obviously to protect Spencer like he said, but he has a whole layer of haunted issues that make up who he's always been. It's not that we've forgotten it, it's been pushed aside a lot, but now it's [not]."
In other spoilers pertaining to the popular show, Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra's (Ian Harding) relationship will be called into question when he's back at the school, which may or may not serve to give their romance a chance to develop deeper once again.
Also, executive producer Marlene King recently said on Twitter the woman visiting Mona, who was sporting the red coat at Radley in the season three finale, will be revealed in June.
Pretty Little Liars is set to air its season four debut on Tuesday, June 11, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC. An international trailer for the upcoming season can be viewed below.
