With the season three finale of AMC's hit show The Walking Dead just a few days away, many fans are flocking to the Internet to get their hands on any clues they can as to what will happen to their favorite characters.

Based on the slew of storylines that still remain unresolved, it seems as though the zombie series has a lot of ground to cover in its final episode of the third season.

Although they've made the move to Woodbury, it's still up in the air as to where Tyrese and Sasha's loyalties lie. With Andrea tied up, her livelihood still remains uncertain as well.

Lastly, and arguably the most significant question of them all is just how Rick and the group will defend themselves against The Governor and his henchmen's attack?

While there are no new clear-cut spoilers to report at this time, AMC did release a handful of official high-resolution still shots for its upcoming installment, which is titled Welcome to the Tombs.

One of the pics shows Carl (Chandler Riggs) admiring his father's old police badge. Since Carl hasn't had much airtime in the last few episodes, it seems logical that he'll play a meaty role in the finale.

Another still reveals Rick (Andrew Lincoln) equipped with a machine gun and an unknown person's hands can be seen in the darkness behind him (out of view).

However, the unidentified individual could very well be Daryl (Norman Reedus), who appears in another still alongside Rick and Michonne (Dunai Gurira).

The Walking Dead season three finale episode is set to air on Sunday, March 31 at 9 p.m. EDT on the AMC network. A sneak peek of the upcoming show can be viewed below.
