Something pretty fantastic might happen on the finale of The Good Wife, set to air on May 8.

According to a TVLine report Josh Charles, who played Will Gardner on the series, might be back for his final final goodbye on The Good Wife. The report reveals that Will might return in a flashback scene, that he shares with Alicia (Julianna Margulies). Will died in Season 5 of the show, leaving an utterly devastated Alicia, whose one true great love he was. Even though Alicia has a new man, Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), in her life now, she obviously holds a very special place for Will.

CBS declined to confirm the rumors about Charles returning for the finale.

In other news, the emotional sendoff to The Good Wife has begun, as the finale for the series just wrapped filming.

The cast members of the series have started posting images from the last days of filming. Margulies recently posted an image with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays her lover Jason on the CBS legal drama, marking his last day on the show:

Alan Cummings, who plays Eli Gould on the show, also posted a hilarious behind-the-scenes clip with showrunners Robert and Michelle King, after filming his last scene for the series. The actor asked the Kings if they had anything to say to him, to which they mock fired him!

The finale of Season 7 will air on May 8.

The next episode, entitled 'Landing,' will air on April 17.
