Season three of HBO's hit show Game of Thrones will feature a whopping 27 regulars. Large cast aside, one of the principal characters that will surely play a significant role in the program's upcoming season is Tyrion (Peter Dinklage).

Dinklage was queried by Latin Times on how it felt to be surrounded by so many other actors, and he gave the following response:

"I don't mind. My character probably minds," he said.

In terms of character development, the third season of Game of Thrones will reportedly feature Tyrion growing increasingly close to his sister Cersei in order to impress his father Lord Tywin Lannister, who is now the Hand of the King.

However, Lord Tywin's succession doesn't end up going over too well with the "Imp."

Dinklage spoke about the conflict that arises amongst the Lannister family, and how he's striving to pull off the dynamic as effectively as possible.

"The three of us spar a lot this season. That's a challenge because we're a family and it's a family with a very dark history with each other. They're really rich, really well written long scenes - six-page scenes - of just us talking. I really want to do those justice, you really want to serve it well," Dinklage said.

While Dinklage didn't get into specifics on the upcoming season, he did acknowledge both his character's resiliency and ability to make the best out of any given circumstance.

"He's a survivor. He crawls his way back, to a certain extent. But that's what's fun about this character. He'll make the best out of every situation no matter what position he's put in," he said.

Game of Thrones is set to make its season three premiere on HBO at 9 p.m. EDT on Sunday, March 31. The extended trailer can be viewed below.
