A new sneak peek for the upcoming episode of Season 11 of Criminal Minds was recently unveiled as it shows Dr. Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) in a very vulnerable situation while investigating a serial killer.

The episode, entitled 'Devil's Backbone,' will feature guest star Francis Fisher, who plays the part of a serial killer, Antonia Slade. The clip, which was unveiled by TVGuide, also offers a first look at Fisher as Antonia, prodding Reid about his sadness over Derek Morgan's (Shemar Moore) death. Reid tries to keep his composure as he investigates Antonia about two missing boys and a cryptic letter. But the steely Antonia is more interested in finding out about Reid and his current disposition.

Criminal Minds showrunner Erica Messer also spoke to TVGuide about the new unsub, portrayed by Fisher.

"She's the kind of unsub you want to bring back again and again. She reads people really well and her scenes with Dr. Reid are really pretty fascinating," Messer said. "She is right on point in her reading of him and he gets thrown off."

Fisher is best known for playing Jack Dawson's mother in Titanic and more recently for working on ABC's Resurrection.

Showrunner Erica Messer revealed the nature of Fisher's role to TVLine in the episode, which will be "very interesting" and "creepy"/"psychological". According to the report Fisher will be playing the part of Antonia Slade, "a crazy UnSub who was put away by [Mandy Patinkin's] Jason Gideon 15 years ago."

As for the character's backstory, Glade had been involved in a twisted case with her husband wherein they operated a teen runaway helpline, but were criminally harsh on toward the ones that did not comply or were deviant.

Messer expressed her delight at finally getting Glade to guest star in the CBS procedural.

"She's amazing," Messer said. "We've been wanting to work with Frances Fisher for years and it never worked out, and we're so glad it didn't, because she was made to be this UnSub for us."

The next episode, entitled 'Devil's Backbone' will air on April 20.
