'Game of Thrones' Season 3 Spoilers: Dany's Future Moving Forward Revealed, VIDEO
The long and unbearable wait is nearly over as the HBO hit series, Game of Thrones, will kick of its third season this upcoming Sunday.
Emilia Clarke, 25, who dons the role of Dany in the show, recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly and spoke about what fans can expect from her character moving forward into the new season.
"She hits the ground running, lets put it that way. Season two was so much about trust and she learned she couldn't trust many people. Season three is her trusting herself and not trusting other people. She has to prove to herself and others that she knows what she's doing," she said.
Dany's character's development is said to take a somewhat similar path to last season's, as she'll arrive at another Mediterranean-type city still searching for the proper resources to make a Westeros invasion.
The entertainment site also reported that Dany will be extremely focused on obtaining an army of slaves referred to as the Unsullied. The respective fighters are considered some of the strongest in the world, but are quite pricey.
"She starts the season with nothing - just the dragons. It's a huge test this season to get the army. It's what she always should have had, basically. Her material instincts outweighs any trepidation," Clarke explains.
Clarke's character has an unorthodox role on the cable network program, as she doesn't converse with any of the show's principal cast members, basically making her the standout of her own separate show within the program.
"I get to be in The Dany Zone for ages. I always get the lovely hot destination," Clarke said.
Game of Thrones is set to make its return on Sunday, March 31 at 9 p.m. EDT on the HBO network. An extended trailer for the upcoming episode can be viewed below.
