The alliances are shifting even more going forward in Survivor: Kaoh Rong.

Wednesday night's episode of Survivor featured one of the biggest moves of the season with Aubry Bracco bonding with Tai Trang and getting him to switch his loyalties. When Scot Pollard received the most votes at Tribal Council, Tai refused to use the Super Idol on him despite previous agreements to do so, sending Scot to the jury.

Loyalties will continue shifting in the next episode, as host Jeff Probst stated in a new Entertainment Weekly interview.

"I think you saw a taste of it tonight. Loyalty," he said, when asked for a teaser for next week. "There have been so many different, fractured alliances. Now more than any other point in the game, you are looking for people you can trust, if only for one vote."

Probst also spoke on why he thinks Tai chose to betray Scot in the end and go with Aubry, discussing whether this was a strategic decision or an emotional one.

"I think Tai is led by emotion. Almost always. But, I also think he's a very crafty player and he's clearly willing to make big moves. So if I had to guess, I would say it was strategic," Probst answered. "Just not wanting to give up that idol with so much game left, and also sensing that [Kyle] Jason and Scot were very tight and sooner or later he would be the odd man out. But the biggest issue Tai seems to have is that his big moves come with an emotional price tag. Some players are able to blindside their closest friend and not get upset about it. I don't think Tai is that way."

He stated that ultimately Tai just "wants to be liked" and his becoming defensive is because "it's difficult for him to accept his own behavior. Add it to the list of reasons why Survivor is an a- kicker of a game."

It remains to be seen if Tai's behavior will greatly impact his relationship with Jason to the point that he will try to get him out.

Survivor: Kaoh Rong airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
