Let's go fly a kite! The Amazing Race traded Dubai for Bali on Friday, and teams were faced with roadblocks and detours that played on every skill available.

Six teams left the UAE in staggered fashion, but their midnight departures ensured that all the season 28 contestants found themselves on the same early morning flight to Bali, Indonesia. Needless to say, this turn of events did not sit well with last week's winners Brodie and Kurt.

Their frowns turned upside down, however, when they were the first team to make it to Tanah Lot Temple. Leg 9's first detour saw each team deliver two offerings to separate temples, but, luckily for the frontrunners, the task could only be accomplished by two teams at a time with a 15 minute interval between each departure. As snakes slithered around contestant's necks, it's a good thing Indian Jones wasn't in the running.

Next up, The Amazing Race moved onto the "Salt of the Earth" Road Block. A very physical task, "Salt of the Earth" involved hauling salt water, pouring it over volcanic rock, and then bagging little bags of crystallized salt. As the males (and Rachel!) struggled through the Road Block, Sheri and Cole had to double down for a Speed Bump. In addition to a trip to the beach, the mother/son duo had to prepare and sell eight breakfast bowls. To top it off, they had to scarf down the spicy dish themselves.

If the teams thought a Pit Stop was in their sights, they were sorely mistaken. Instead the tired contestants made their way to Pantai Mandasari for the "Go Fly a Kite" Road Block. These weren't Mary Poppins kite's either. Clocking in at up to 30 feet wide and 1,000 feet long, these high flyers were the Goliaths of the kite world.

When all was said and done, each team ultimately managed to assemble their own colossus and launch it into the bright blue skies of Southeast Asia. Soon the teams are back on the water, paddling their way to the mat.

Ultimately, Tyler and Korey snagged first place, Burnie and Ashley landed in second, Sheri and Cole made a shocking comeback for third, Dana and Matt came in fourth, Brodie and Kurt scraped by with fifth place, and Zach and Rachel were sent home following their last place finish.

The Amazing Race airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
