'Gilmore Girls' Netflix: What Will Sookie Be Up To In The 'Thrilling' Revival? Melissa McCarthy Explains [VIDEO]
We hope your hungry - Gilmore Girls' Sookie is back in action.
Melissa McCarthy announced her return to Stars Hollow earlier this month, and the actress has already completed filming for her role in Gilmore Girls: Seasons. Sookie will only be in town for a short time, but, after months of wondering if the chef would even appear, fans will be delighted with any amount of screen time.
"For the longest time it was just not going to work out schedule-wise. And once we decided is there any possible way, something fell out for me, something changed for them, and then we immediately nabbed it," McCarthy told Entertainment Weekly. "I went back and visited about two weeks ago and saw the sets again and everybody on them."
The four-part revival will feature a host of familiar faces, including Lorelai (Lauren Graham), Rory (Alexis Bledel), Luke (Scott Patterson), Michel (Yanic Truesdale), Emily (Kelly Bishop), Lane (Keiko Agena), Paris (Liza Weil), Kirk (Sean Gunn), Dean (Jared Padalecki), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia), and Logan (Matt Czuchry) amongst others. Coming to Netflix later this year, the reunion will satisfy the cravings of longtime fans.
"I think [fans] are going to be really happy. I think they're going to be thrilled," McCarthy said, according to E! Online. The actress told Entertainment Weekly that returning to her Gilmore Girls family "felt like the greatest idea in the world. It was lovely."
