An eyewitness had suddenly appeared who could have taken Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) down for murdering Duke and could also potentially take Julian (William DeVry) down with him, but now, that could completely change following the witness being discovered dead on General Hospital.

Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) discovered Hale dead in his car with a needle in his arm, suggesting he had overdosed and killed himself. And even though his dying could turn her case in her favor, she will still scream for help to see if there's anyway to revive him.

"I need some help!" She screams in a preview clip for the Tuesday, May 3 episode.

The news that Hale is dead will be devastating for those who were counting on his appearance being the key to getting vengeance for Duke, in particular, Anna (Finola Hughes), who is now commemorating the one-year anniversary of his death, and was excited to share the news with his recently discovered son, Griffin (Matt Cohen), that a witness would make sure Carlos paid for the crime he committed.

"An eyewitness has come forward," she shares excitedly in the clip.

However, when they eventually learn Hale is dead, they will be devastated, as will Sonny (Maurice Benard), who is believed to have hired Hale to pose as a witness so he could guarantee that Carlos was convicted.

What no one may be able to prove however, is that Hale's death was no accident. There was no secret that he had been a junkie, so his being found with a needle in his arm won't cause any suspicions to arise that he hadn't simply done it to himself. However, to cover his own tracks, Julian, who has secretly resumed the role as the head of the Jerome crime family, ordered one of his men to kill Hale. And no one may be able to specifically put things together, except for Nina (Michelle Stafford), who overheard Julian on a phone call and will curiously ask him what he was talking about.

"Who were you talking to when I walked in?" She asks in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
