'Girl Meets World' Riley & Maya's Friendship On The Fritz? Writers Drop Ominous Teaser [VIDEO]
Trouble is brewing over on Disney channel. Girl Meets World's Riley and Maya are ready to take on High School, but a Boy Meets World throwback could leave the BFFs out on the outs.
For two years, the Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Lucas (Peyton Meyer) love triangle has played out in the background, popping up every now and then to reignite the Rucas/Lucaya debate. Now that the teens are in high school, dating will take on a new level of importance. When Riley takes a fateful ski trip with her pals, Boy Meets World history may repeat itself, pushing a burgeoning relationship over the top.
Okay, two part ski lodge where the triangle we find out wasn't a triangle in GM Triangle and GM Upstate finally absolutely resolves maybe.

Now, however, it looks like the doubleheader episode could come at a price.

Well, that certainly sounds ominous. Looking back at the series premiere, the writers could be referring to two plot points. First of all, Maya and Riley spent the inaugural half-hour choosing to fight for friendship as they but their BFF status above everything else. Meanwhile, however, "Girl Meets World" was the first time Riley clapped eyes on Lucas, sparking feelings that would eventually lead to her first date.
Now fans are left to wonder...is Riley over Lucas or is the Riley/Maya friendship about to hit a speed bump?
