While it seems as though the wait is taking forever, HBO's True Blood will indeed be making its return for a sixth season in the middle of June.

To the disappointment of many of the show's loyalists, it appears as though the characters of Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Alcide (Joe Manganiello) won't be getting hot and heavy, according to Carter Matt.

E! News reported that Ms. Stackhouse will actually be getting a brand new and different romantic interest for the upcoming installment.

The entertainment site recently conducted an interview with Manganiello, who addressed his character's options in the romance department.

"Alcide is now the pack master, which means he has lots of dating options ... It's good to be the pack master! I remember I asked the producer, 'What do pack masters do all day? And they're like, 'They get all the were-b***hes!"

The main question on the minds of many of the vampire series' fans is surely how exactly the TV program's brass will proceed with Alcide's love life, being he's now the packmaster.

Nonetheless, Carter Matt claimed that the werewolf will have his father around, who is played by Robert Patrick, to keep his ego in check.
