'Suits' Season 6 Spoilers: Premiere Date Revealed! Go Behind The Scenes With Patrick J Adams [VIDEO]
This summer, Suits will report to prison.
Mike (Patrick J. Adams) is in for a rough season 6, and fans can reunite with the faux Harvard grad when he swaps the courtroom for the prison yard on July 13. The USA series won't gloss over the lawyer's stint behind bars (although Adams will be hanging around a time machine this spring), nor will the sudden Pearson Specter Litt upheaval go pass without consequence.
"After signing a plea deal to spare his colleagues at Pearson Specter Litt, Mike will be confronted with the harsh realities of prison life as he starts his two-year sentence," USA teased. "Meanwhile, the once bustling Pearson Specter Litt offices are a ghost town - the partners have defected, leaving Harvey, Jessica, Louis, Donna and Rachel to pick up the pieces. But the firm's troubles are far from over, and they will have to deal with the fallout from Mike's crime before they can even begin to rebuild."
Suits began filming earlier this year, adding Erik Palladino, Paul Schulze, and Jamal Warner to the mix. Palladino and Shulze will play two of Mike's fellow inmates, according to Deadline, while Warner will take on the role of prison counselor, helping the felons survive life on the inside.
Adams has since treated fans to several behind-the-scenes photos.
"People always say this or that is game-changing, and I'm guilty of that too, but in this case, it really is for our show. We are both very scared and very excited about it," executive producer Aaron Korsh teased, according to TV Guide. "We don't know at the moment when he's going to get out. We haven't gotten there yet. We're not rushing to get him out and we're not jumping ahead in time to when he gets out."
