In just three weeks, the Vampire Diaries will air an all-new episode that will act as a backdoor pilot to its future Originals spin-off.
The franchise's next project is set to feature Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and his siblings in the New Orleans' French Quarter.
The CW network recently rolled out its official description for the respective TV installment.
Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who is a former alley of Klaus, will reportedly have complete "control over the human and supernatural inhabitants of New Orleans," stated Hollywood Life.
Klaus will be tipped off that he's the subject of a plot conspiracy, sparking him to make the trek to the town that he along with his family helped build up.
In some other news related to the episode, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) will trail Klaus in order to assist his brother with revenge while Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) continue their pursuit of getting Elena (Nina Dobrev) back to Mystic Falls.
Katherine, who is also played by Dobrev, will also come clean to Rebekah (Claire Holt) about a shocking weakness she has.
The Vampire Diaries will next air on Thursday, April 18 with its Pictures of You episode. The trailer for the upcoming show can be viewed below.
