Evan Peters has revealed the most difficult character he's had to play on American Horror Story so far.

Peters conducted a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Monday, where he answered questions from fans about American Horror Story, X-Men and more. One commenter asked him about which character from American Horror Story was toughest to play and it may come as no surprise who he chose.

"Tate was the hardest," Peters wrote, of his season 1 character Tate Langdon. "Cuz he's a dark psycho."

Tate was the role that helped Peters position himself as one of Hollywood's most promising new actors. He would go on to star in the next four seasons of American Horror Story, as mental hospital patient Kit Walker in Asylum, undead frat boy Kyle Spencer in Coven, performer Jimmy Darling in Freak Show and sadistic hotel developer James Patrick March in Hotel.

Peters also shared a particularly memorable moment from season 1 that stood out to him during filming.

"There was a moment when I see myself covered in blood behind Dylan McDermott - Ryan Murphy just thought that up on the spot and said, 'Hey, let's just cover Evan in blood and put him behind Dylan.' And then they did. And it was awesome." he said.

Meanwhile, there's some speculation about what season 6 of American Horror Story may be about, and it's still unclear if Peters will be returning. While the actor admitted on Reddit that he is "definitely looking forward to the new season," there was no indication of who he may be playing or whether he'll even be in it.

However, he did suggest that he at least knows something about the game plan.

"But can't share anything. Sorry," he wrote.

American Horror Story season 6 airs in the fall on FX.
