Chuck, you've got some 'splainin to do.

The Winchester boys have spent years arguing the existence of God, and, now that the Almighty has decided to join the party, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will have plenty of questions for the absente deity. It's not like Team Free Will hasn't been the recipient of divine intervention - Castiel's (Misha Collins) been repaired more than a post-grad's Ikea bookcase - but for every one prayer answered, Chuck (Rob Benedict) has ignored about a thousand others.

As God prepares to take down his sister, he will have to explain his hermit act to all involved.

"I think the first thing that needs to be done is that he's got to get their trust again, and convince them that he is what he says he is," Benedict told TV Insider. "There's lots going on with everybody...And like you said, I have a lot of explaining to do. And I think God has made some enemies. Because he's been such an absentee father...So it creates a really interesting dynamic. But yeah, it really is like he has to come back home and he's gotta, he's got a lot of battles to fight. A lot of fires to put out."

Chief amongst those is dealing with one of his favorite wayward sons.

"The idea that Lucifer is possessing Castiel is heavy and complicated," the actor mused. In "All in the Family," Amara (Emily Swallow) will use the devil and his poor co-habitant as an incentive to draw her big bro out into the open.

"Amara shows Dean how she's torturing Lucifer," The CW teased. "Worried for Castiel, Dean and Sam come up with a plan to rescue him from Amara's clutches."
