'The Blacklist' Season 3: Spinoff Plot & Title Revealed, What's Next For Tom & Liz? [VIDEO]
The tale of Tom Keen and Scottie Hargrave is only just beginning. If you have questions, The Blacklist's new spinoff will have the answers.
Ryan Eggold's character is primed to top line The Blacklist: Redemption this fall, staring alongside Famke Janssen's Susan "Scottie" Hargrave. The series received a backdoor pilot in The Blacklist's May 5 episode, and NBC ordered the spinoff to series over the weekend.
The official description is as follows:
"In this thrilling new spinoff of NBC's breakout hit series, undercover operative Tom Keen joins forces with Susan "Scottie" Hargrave, the brilliant and cunning chief of Grey Matters, a covert mercenary organization that solves problems governments don't dare touch.
While on the hunt for Liz's attacker, Tom secretly discovered that Scottie is actually his biological mother. Now, as they team up to employ their unique skills and resources in a dangerous world of deadly criminals, Tom begins his own covert mission to find out more about his shadowy past."
What does this mean for baby Agnes? Is the newborn ready to dive into the wholly unpredictable world, or would she be better suited to life with a different parent entirely? Liz (Megan Boone) and Tom were all set to star a new life together on The Blacklist, but Mr. Solomon's (Edi Gathegi) attack caused complications for the expectant mother, problems which ultimately led to her death.
There are plenty of fans, however, who believe Tom and his little girl bid an emotional farewell to an empty casket. After all, it wouldn't be the first time Liz faked her death before. Considering she still had so many unanswered questions about her past and her connection to Red (James Spader), killing Liz off now would be a disservice to the character and the carefully crafted storyline.
Will Liz pop up on The Blacklist as Tom makes the move to The Blacklist: Redemption? Find out when The Blacklist season finale airs this Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on NBC. Click the video below to see a preview for "Alexander Kirk: Conclusion."
