Another soap star has found themselves in potential legal trouble after driving under the influence and causing a car accident.

Jensen Buchanan, who most recently portrayed Judge Elise Moxley on The Young and the Restless was arrested on Wednesday morning after California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene of an accident that was allegedly caused by Buchanan driving while under the influence.

According to reports, a little after 6 a.m., Buchanan careened into oncoming traffic in her black 2016 Mercedes S550, near Buellton. She crossed over the double yellow line and into the direct path of a white Ford C-Max.

The driver of the truck, identified as Bradley Asolas, 56, suffered major injuries after Buchanan hit him head on. Buchanan was treated for minor injuries at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and arrested for DUI.

No details have been released about whether she was given bail and if it was posted. No court date has been revealed either.

Buchanan is only the latest of soap opera star to get into a car accident. Freddie Smith, who portrays Sonny Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives, was involved in a serious car accident back in the Fall of 2014, when he lost control of his car in Ohio, and it flipped over, seriously injuring his girlfriend, Alyssa Tabit. He was sentenced in February of last year to two years of probation and had his license suspended for a year.

More recently, former One Life to Live star Nathaniel Marston, 40, died in November after suffering severe injuries following a car accident in Reno, Nev. He suffered from a broken back and broken neck, and was also fighting pneumonia, a heart infection and irregular pulse when he died.

Bryan Craig, who just won a Daytime Emmy for his portrayal of Morgan Corinthos on General Hospital, also recently had a car accident as well, in Los Angeles. The actor's Corvette careened into a fire hydrant after another driver ran a red light and hit his car. He escaped without injury.
